A little about the charity, Charity No:1127126 http://www.ebwomensaid.org.uk/
We are an award winning local charity dedicated to providing a unique and specialist support service to women, men and children affected by domestic abuse. Our charity was formed in 1976 and has developed significantly over the last thirty years. In addition to our three safehouses and an established Advocacy and Outreach Service, we offer specialist support to children and young people affected by Domestic Violence with the aim of providing help to enable them to reach their full potential.
Sadly, in July 2012 we lost £250K our core funding due to Government cuts, which meant a 25% drop in our income from the 1st October 2012. Together with the current economic climate this put a huge strain on our finances and without the kind support of our community our future is uncertain.
